Ethan Wappes

Ethan Wappes is currently an Associate Principal Scientist at Merck, having transitioned from a role as Senior Scientist within the same company. Prior to this, Ethan served as a Graduate Research Assistant at The Ohio State University, where they developed methods for efficient C-H functionalization and discovered a novel radical chaperone. Earlier in their academic career, Ethan was a Student Researcher at Indiana University, focusing on electrochemical ring-expansion reactions. Ethan holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Indiana University Bloomington.
