Gideon Blumenthal

Gideon Blumenthal is currently the Vice President of Clinical Development Oncology at Merck and was recently the Vice President of Oncology Global Regulatory Affairs. They have held various significant positions at the FDA, including Associate Director of Precision Oncology and Deputy Director of the Oncology Center of Excellence, from 2017 to 2020. Prior to their time at the FDA, Gideon was an oncologist at the National Cancer Institute, where they served as an attending physician and associate investigator for phase 1-2 trials from 2009 to 2019. Gideon completed their residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland from 2003 to 2006 and their fellowship in Hematology Oncology at the National Cancer Institute from 2006 to 2009.
