Jay Barbor

Jay Barbor is a Senior Scientist in Discovery Chemistry at Merck, where they have been since 2025. Previously, they worked as a Scientist and a Chemical Technician at Microbiotix, Inc. from 2017 to 2020 and 2015 to 2017, respectively. Jay also served as a Graduate Researcher at Caltech from 2020 to 2025, contributing to research in Professor Brian Stoltz's laboratory. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Smith College in 2015 and are currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry at Caltech.
