John Busillo

John Busillo is currently the Senior Director of Medical Writing at Merck & Co., Inc., where they analyze, interpret, and summarize complex data to present key clinical messages in regulatory documents. Previously, they held various roles, including Lead Medical Writing Scientist at GSK and Managing Medical Writer at Merck, alongside founding and coordinating the John E. Busillo Memorial Foundation. John earned a BA in Biology from Arcadia University and a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology and Structural Biology from Jefferson Health, with past research focusing on immune system activation and G protein-coupled receptor signaling. Prior to their medical writing career, they served as an IRTA Fellow at NIEHS and held positions related to clinical research and regulatory affairs.
