John Howe is a seasoned professional in biotech and small molecule drug discovery and development, currently leading an anti-bacterial project focused on discovering antibiotics against drug-resistant bacteria at Merck. Previously, John contributed to HIV antiviral development and characterized drug resistance as a Principal Scientist at Schering-Plough Research Institute, following prior roles that included cancer gene therapy work and cell cycle research.
