John Ion

John Ion is the Director of Medical Writing at Merck, where they lead a talented group of writers in the Medical Communications department. With nearly 30 years of experience in scientific writing, including over 20 years focused on regulatory medical writing, John has previously held leadership roles at MedImmune and i3 Statprobe. John has a strong commitment to developing writers and establishing efficient processes to create clear and persuasive scientific documents. They are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science, a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Toxicology from Concordia University, and a Master of Public Health from The Ohio State University.
