John Parsell

John Parsell is a senior learning and development leader with over 15 years of experience in designing learning strategies that enhance performance and accelerate talent growth. Currently serving as the Associate Director of LMS Platforms and Experience Lead at Merck, Parsell leads global initiatives that integrate technology, AI, and learning design with business strategy. Past roles include Senior Manager of Learning & Development at Accolade, Inc., and Instructional Design Specialist at GMAC Mortgage. In addition to their corporate responsibilities, Parsell co-hosts the podcast "Is Training The Answer" and has contributed as an author and speaker on the transformative power of learning. Parsell holds a Master of Science in Instructional Technology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Anthropology from Muhlenberg College.
