Jose Lebron

Jose Lebron is the Scientific Associate Vice President of Drug Safety Assessment at Merck, where they leverage extensive expertise in investigative toxicology and drug development across various therapeutic modalities. Jose obtained a Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology, and immunology from Caltech, where they studied from 1994 to 1999. Since joining Merck in 2007, they have held multiple significant roles, including Senior Research Biochemist and Executive Director of Investigative Laboratory Sciences. Currently, they continue to lead efforts in drug safety assessment, focusing on the development of small molecules, biologics, oligonucleotide therapeutics, peptides, and vaccines.
