Luis Dasta

Luis Dasta is a seasoned professional in quality and regulatory compliance, currently serving as the Quality Director - Global Compliance at Merck since January 2017. With extensive experience at the FDA, Dasta held several roles from October 2006 to January 2017, including Consumer Safety Officer, where inspections of pharmaceutical companies were conducted, primarily focusing on GDUFA inspections in India and China. Dasta also served as a Supervisory Consumer Safety Officer and a Compliance Officer. Prior to his tenure at the FDA, Dasta worked at Merck as a Senior Quality Auditor in Regulatory and Analytical Sciences from June 2003 to September 2006 and began a career in the FDA as an analytical chemist from November 1997 to June 2003. Dasta holds a Master of Science in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs from Temple University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Austin Peay State University.
