Marya Chaney

Marya Chaney is an experienced oncology professional currently serving as an Executive Clinical Director and Distinguished Scientist at Merck, where they act as the liaison between the company and academic cancer centers for preclinical and clinical studies. Prior to this role, Marya was a Senior Director for Academic Medical Centers at Novartis Oncology and held various positions at MD Anderson Cancer Center, including PreDoctoral and Postdoctoral Fellow, focusing on cancer biology. Marya earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Oncology and Cancer Biology from the UT Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from New Mexico State University.
