Mel Kohn

Mel Kohn is the Executive Director of Medical Affairs for HPV Vaccines at Merck, a role they have held since 2019. They previously served as the Regional Director of Medical Affairs Lead for Vaccines in Europe from 2017 to 2022 and as the Medical Director for Adult Vaccines from 2013 to 2017. Kohn's extensive background in public health includes positions as Director and State Public Health Officer with the Oregon Health Authority from 2008 to 2013 and State Epidemiologist with the Oregon Department of Human Services from 1999 to 2008. Kohn holds an MD from Harvard Medical School, an MPH in Epidemiology from Tulane, and a BA in Russian Studies from Yale University.
