Melissa D.

Melissa D. is an experienced professional in the fields of analytical development and bioinformatics, currently serving as Director at Merck since December 2021. Previously, Melissa held various positions at Vedanta Biosciences, Inc., progressing from Scientist II roles in Analytical Development and Clinical Bioinformatics to Senior Scientist in the same department from April 2019 to December 2021. Prior experience includes a role as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Commense, Inc. and a Postdoctoral Scholar at The University of Chicago. Melissa has also worked as a Scientist at the MPI - Ministry for Primary Industries in New Zealand and completed a PhD in Soil Microbiology at The University of Auckland, where Melissa was also a Teaching Assistant and the Secretary/Treasurer for Chiasma. An undergraduate degree in Biotechnology and Microbiology was also obtained from The University of Auckland.
