Michael Waslin is currently the Associate Director of Environmental Sustainability at Merck, where they lead the organization’s sustainability strategy, fostering reduced emissions and improved processes. With experience at Merck dating back to 1999, they have held various roles including Project Engineer, Environmental and Safety Project Engineer, and Senior Engineer in Environmental Sustainability. Michael was a founding member of the Environmental Sustainability Center of Excellence and has been instrumental in establishing Merck's public sustainability goals while mentoring students in life cycle assessments. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University and a Master of Science in Water Resource and Environmental Engineering from Villanova University.
