Nathan Contrella

Nathan Contrella is a Principal Scientist at Merck, having held the position after serving as an Associate Principal Scientist and Sr. Scientist in Chemistry. They completed a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry at Bucknell University, followed by both a Master's Degree and a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry at The University of Chicago. Earlier in their career, Nathan contributed as a Science and Math Tutor, Undergraduate Research Assistant, and Teaching Assistant at Bucknell University, and as a NSF Predoctoral Fellow and Graduate Research Fellow at The University of Chicago. Nathan's research has focused on organometallic catalysis and polymer synthesis, earning recognition through a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.
