Nicholas Fox

Associate Principal Scientist

Nicholas Fox is an accomplished scientist with a robust background in chemistry and a focus on structural genomics and protein research. Currently serving as an Associate Principal Scientist at Merck since February 2019, Nicholas previously held roles as a Senior Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Oxford from July 2015 to January 2019, contributing to a project funded by Pfizer Rare Disease Research Unit. Additional experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where work focused on anaerobic protein production and protein crystallography. Nicholas earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Texas A&M University, where dissertation research concentrated on the incorporation of iron and sulfur into the human Fe-S cluster assembly complex, and also served as a Teaching Assistant for chemistry laboratories. Earlier research involvement began with an NSF-funded project at Texas A&M University, focusing on synthetic techniques for nanoparticle systems. Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg.
