Phil Waters

Phil Waters is a Senior Specialist in Laboratory Automation at Merck, where they oversee the implementation of analytical and automation labs for a new manufacturing line supporting the Gardasil vaccine. Previously, Phil served as a Senior Data Modeler at Sequence Quality and Compliance Services from 2015 to 2020, developing data modeling solutions to enhance process monitoring in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Their earlier experience at GlaxoSmithKline included roles in computer systems compliance and validation, laboratory automation design and development, and IT systems design, where they contributed to projects that improved drug testing processes and biorepository management. Phil is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the University of California, San Diego.
