Qian Chen

Qian Chen is a Senior Scientist at Merck, with experience in academia and research spanning over a decade. Prior to joining Merck in August 2022, Qian served as an Instructor and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Illinois Chicago from January 2015 to August 2022, where responsibilities included teaching undergraduate laboratory courses and conducting research. Qian's research background includes work as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Kentucky from August 2007 to July 2014, focusing on the physical interactions among Drosophila JAK/STAT signaling ligands. Qian holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Regulation of the JAK/STAT signaling pathway during Drosophila development from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology from Fudan University.
