Ryan Friedman, PhD, is a Senior Scientist in Oral Formulation Sciences at Merck. Currently a 4th year Bioengineering PhD candidate at the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Ryan's research focuses on fibroinflammatory upper airway wound healing and the engineering of drug delivery platforms for tissue repair. Previously, Ryan held various roles, including Head Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech and intern positions at Johnson & Johnson and ActiveProtective, contributing significantly to advancements in materials and drug delivery systems. Notable accolades include recognition as an NSF GRFP Fellow and achieving awards for innovative medical devices.
