Ryan Tsoi

Ryan Tsoi is a Senior Scientist in the Protein Engineering Group at Merck, specializing in synthetic biology with extensive experience in computational dynamic modeling, gene circuit design, and molecular cloning. Ryan's academic journey includes a PhD and an MSc in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, where they focused on innovative strategies to combat antibiotic resistance and explored mathematical modeling in microbial communities. Prior to their current role, Ryan contributed to research at the Tullman Ercek Lab and gained experience as an intern in the office of State Senator Elaine Alquist.
