Vice President Clinical Research; Therapeutic Area Head - Atherosclerosis And Metabolism

Sam Engel has extensive experience in clinical research, having served as Vice President of Clinical Research and Therapeutic Area Head for Atherosclerosis and Metabolism at Merck from March 2006 to September 2024. Prior to this role, Sam Engel was Associate Vice President of Clinical Research in Diabetes and Endocrinology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine from January 1983 to January 2006 and also held the position of Clinical Professor. Sam Engel began the medical career after earning an MD from New York Medicine Jobs between January 1974 and January 1978, following a BA from New York University from January 1970 to January 1974.
