Shovan Naskar

Shovan Naskar is a translational neuroscientist with 12 years of research experience focused on developing novel therapeutic strategies for psychiatric diseases. They have made significant contributions to the fields of Down syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, and autism spectrum disorders, particularly through pioneering work in oligonucleotide-based gene therapy methods. Naskar earned a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Genoa and has held positions such as Graduate Research Assistant at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia and Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institute of Mental Health. Currently, they are an Associate Principal Scientist at Merck, continuing their research in electrophysiology and clinical pharmacology.
