Stephen Dalby

Stephen Dalby is a Principal Scientist at Merck, specializing in process development for clinical and commercial manufacturing of novel APIs. With over 20 years of experience as a synthetic organic chemist, they have demonstrated expertise in multi-step synthesis and the development of new synthetic methods. Stephen previously held research fellowships at The Scripps Research Institute and the Institute of Chemical and Engineering Sciences, where they conducted postdoctoral studies under Prof. K. C. Nicolaou. They also served as a Clare College Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge, engaging in independent research and teaching. Stephen earned a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the University of Cambridge and a 1st Class Honours MSc in Medicinal Chemistry from UCL.
