Toni Williamson

Toni Williamson is an accomplished professional in the field of drug safety and pharmacology, currently serving as the Executive Director of Nonclinical Drug Safety at Merck since February 2020, where responsibilities include overseeing the Discovery Portfolio and managing Discovery Program Leads. Prior roles at Merck involved leadership in both the nonclinical drug safety and neuroscience therapeutic areas. Toni previously held positions as SVP of Pharmacology and Translational Sciences at Arkuda Therapeutics and Senior Director of Non-Clinical Research at Flexion Therapeutics, leading non-clinical activities and managing regulatory submissions. Early career experience includes significant roles at Amgen, Trophos, and the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research. Toni holds a PhD in Physiology from King's College London and a BSc in Biochemistry & Physiology from the University of Reading.
