U-Ming Lim, PhD, serves as an Associate Principal Scientist and previously as a Senior Scientist at Merck since August 2014, focusing on Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Biochemistry to conduct mechanism of action studies and advance drug target validation. Prior experience includes work as an NGS Graduate Scholar at the Bioprocessing Technology Institute, A*STAR, where research centered on developing chemically defined, serum-free cell culture media and the identification of novel protein growth factors from CHO cells. In addition, Lim worked as a Clinical Study Coordinator at Info-Kinetics Pte Ltd, managing Phase I clinical studies, and as a Research Scientist at the Diabetes Transplant Unit, Prince of Wales Hospital, specializing in stem cell research. U-Ming Lim earned a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the National University of Singapore and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and a Diploma in Innovation Management from UNSW.
