Vera Ares

Vera Ares is a biotech executive currently serving as the Associate Director of Business Development at Merck. With a background in scientific training, Vera has extensive experience in licensing and business development across academia, pharma, and biotech. Previously, as a Senior Licensing Associate at Stanford University, Vera developed licensing strategies, negotiated agreements, and managed relations with licensees. Vera holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Buenos Aires and is also pursuing a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Genetics and Development of Germ Cells at the University of California, San Francisco.
