Viktor Hornak is the Executive Director and Global Head of Modeling & Informatics at Merck, a position held since 2023. Previously, Viktor served as a Senior Investigator and Group Leader at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research from 2017 to 2020, after holding various roles at Merck from 2007 to 2012, including Senior Research Chemist and Associate Principal Scientist. Viktor began their career at Stony Brook University as a Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Scientist from 2001 to 2007. Viktor earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physical Chemistry from Slovak Technical University between 1993 and 1998.
