Yang Peng is a highly experienced scientist with a strong background in cancer research. With a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Yang began a career at UTHealth as a Ph.D. student from September 2008 to December 2014. Following this, Yang served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and later as a Research Scientist at MD Anderson Cancer Center until February 2020. Yang then transitioned to GSK as an Investigator in Oncology from November 2020 to March 2024 before joining Merck in July 2024 as a Senior Scientist in Translational Molecular Biomarkers. Prior academic training includes a Bachelor's degree from Wuhan University.
