Zhifeng Chen

Zhifeng Chen is a Principal Scientist at Merck, specializing in the discovery of therapeutic and reagent monoclonal antibodies. With a Ph.D. in Virology from the Chinese National Influenza Center, they have held key positions at various institutions including Symbigene Inc., The Scripps Research Institute, and Calmune Corp. Throughout their career, they have developed innovative approaches in antibody discovery, particularly utilizing human B cell technology and phage display. At Merck, they currently mentor postdoctoral researchers in human monoclonal antibody discovery and characterization, continuing their impactful work in infectious disease and vaccine research.
