Matthew Pelnar

Matthew Pelnar is currently serving as Legal Counsel at Mercor, a position held since 2025. They previously worked as a Senior Associate at Crowell & Moring LLP and Goodwin from 2020 to 2025, and as an Associate at Ropes & Gray LLP, Gunderson Dettmer, and Atrium between 2013 and 2020, focusing on corporate and securities law. Matthew also served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps from 2005 to 2009. They are pursuing an MPhil at the University of Cambridge and a J.D. at the University of California, Berkeley—School of Law, while having earned a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, summa cum laude.
