Benjamin Patchell

Benjamin Patchell has a strong background in freight trading, having worked at Cargill International S.A. for many years. Benjamin started as a Freight Trader in 2007 and was promoted to Senior Freight Trader in 2014. Benjamin played a significant role in the company's freight trading operations until their departure in 2023. Benjamin then joined Mercuria as the Global Head of Panamax Trading in March 2023.

Benjamin Patchell completed their education at the University of Southampton, where they pursued an MSc Engineering in the Coastal Environment. Benjamin attended the university from 2005 to 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a BSc in Marine Geography from the University of Wales, Cardiff. Benjamin studied at the University of Wales, Cardiff from 2000 to 2003.
