Steve Abrams

Steve Abrams has over 25 years of work experience in various roles related to environmental products and low carbon trading. Steve is currently working as a Project Director - Environmental Products at Mercuria Energy Trading S.A. Before that, they worked at BP as a Senior Manager Low Carbon Trading for eight years. Prior to that, they held positions at EcoSecurities, where they served as the Head of Implementation and later as the Head of Monitoring & Verification, overseeing the implementation of a carbon offset portfolio and managing a global team. Steve also worked as a Technical Analyst at the New South Wales Greenhouse Gas Abatement Scheme, conducted assurance audits at URS Corporation, advised clients on environmental requirements at Parsons Brinckerhoff, and coordinated environmental work at Amec Foster Wheeler. Steve started their career as an Industrial Placement Student at National Power.

Steve Abrams completed their education at the University of Bath in 2012, where they focused on environmental management and assessment. Prior to that, they attended the University of Glamorgan from 1994 to 1998, earning a degree in Energy and Environmental Technology.
