Ashwin Baskaran

Ashwin Baskaran is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as Vice President of Engineering at both Mercury since March 2024 and 0x since September 2022, focusing on banking and DeFi applications, respectively. Previous roles include Head of Engineering for Secure Access Service Edge and Senior Director of Engineering at VMware from April 2018 to September 2022, as well as Senior Director of Engineering at Citrix, where responsibilities included managing cloud applications and SD-WAN product development from June 2007 to April 2018. Ashwin began a career at Hughes Network Systems in 1996, and notable early experiences included software engineering roles at Cisco Systems and its acquired company Fibex Systems. Educational credentials feature a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Penn State University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, complemented by an Executive Education course in Design Thinking from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
