Jonathan Lorimer

Jonathan Lorimer is an experienced engineering manager and software developer with a strong background in software engineering and team leadership. Currently at Mercury since April 2023, Jonathan has transitioned from a senior software engineering role to engineering management. Previous positions include software developer at Determinate Systems, and CTO and co-founder at Holdings, where Jonathan played a key role in technology strategy. Experience at Mercury also includes lead software engineer and software engineer roles. Earlier in Jonathan's career, positions such as web developer at ecobee and Purpose Advisor Solutions, as well as mentoring at Lighthouse Labs, contributed to a diverse skill set in web development. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA honours) in Philosophy from the University of Victoria, obtained from 2012 to 2017.
