Steve Bunce

Steve Bunce is an experienced software engineering leader currently serving as Software Engineering Manager at Mercury NZ since July 2022, overseeing a team of approximately 65 professionals in software engineering, test automation, and analysis. Previously, Steve held various roles at Trustpower from June 2009 to July 2022, including Software & Architecture Manager and Technology Delivery Manager, where responsibilities included building a center of excellence in software and architecture, leading technology workstreams, and driving a DevOps culture. Earlier positions include Senior Analyst Programmer at Spectra Data Solutions and BI Consultant roles, with a foundational background in database administration and software development. Steve holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Information Technology from Solent University and is an ICAgile Certified Professional.
