Steve O'Donnell

Steve O'Donnell, MEngNZ, CD, is a Senior Engineering Manager with extensive experience in telecommunications and engineering management. They began their career as an Army Officer in the Canadian Army from 1981 to 1997, followed by various managerial roles at companies such as TelstraClear, Transpower, and Ultrafast Fibre, where they significantly contributed to the New Zealand government's UltraFast Broadband Initiative. Currently, they serve as the Telco Technology Assurance Manager at Mercury NZ, focusing on technical support processes and operational efficiencies. Steve also holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick and is involved in music theory and composition studies at ABRSM.
