Stew Hamilton

Stew is responsible for the asset management, operation, and maintenance of renewable generation assets – hydro, geothermal and wind. He has a focus on health and safety, with an ongoing aim of zero harm. Before joining Mercury in 2021, Stew was the Chief Executive and General Manager at New Zealand Aluminium Smelters. He has more than 25 years’ experience leading large-scale processing and mining operations and began his career as an engineer.
