Mario Malavé is the Co-founder and Co-CEO of Mercury 13, where they currently invest in women's football. They previously co-founded wagr and led it as CEO from 2020 to 2023. They worked in football operations at Los Angeles Football Club in 2019 and were a venture investor at Playground Global from 2016 to 2018. They also held roles in investment banking at Morgan Stanley (Senior Analyst, 2015–2016) and at Goldman Sachs as an Investment Management Summer Analyst in 2011, and served as VP Sports Betting at Yahoo Sports in 2023. They earned an MBA from Harvard Business School (2018–2020) and hold a magna cum laude BA in Economics and Political Science from New York University (2009–2013); they completed Bachillerato at Colegio Santiago de Leon de Caracas (2000–2009).
