Edwin Kuria

Edwin Kuria serves as the Country Director for Mercy Corps in Ethiopia since September 2021, driving initiatives aimed at enhancing the resilience of climate and conflict-affected communities. Prior to this role, Edwin held multiple leadership positions at UNICEF Nigeria, including Emergency Specialist and Director of Programs, contributing to significant humanitarian efforts. Edwin's extensive experience in the humanitarian sector includes roles at Save the Children International, where programs scaled significantly during crises, and positions at Save the Children UK and World Vision International, focused on operational and emergency management. Educationally, Edwin holds a Master's degree in Disaster Management from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition from Kenyatta University.
