John Doerries

John Doerries is an experienced physical therapist with a strong background in various therapy settings, currently serving at Mercy since September 2024 and previously as the Clinic Director at SERC Physical & Hand Therapy from June 2016 to July 2025. John began the career journey with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Missouri-Columbia, complementing a Bachelor's degree in Health Science from the same institution. Notable experiences include managing patient caseloads at Baylor Institute of Rehabilitation and several student positions involving diverse practice areas, including pediatrics, orthopedics, and neuro. As a Teaching Assistant, John contributed to the education of first-year physical and occupational therapy students, focusing on anatomy and practical applications within the field.
