Kate Smith

Kate Smith, RN, BSN, is an experienced registered nurse with a diverse background in healthcare. Currently serving as a Registered Nurse at Mercy since January 2023 and at South City Hospital since July 2021, Kate has held various nursing and leadership roles throughout a career that began with an Associate’s degree from Lewis and Clark Community College and culminated in a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Central Methodist University. Previous positions include Infection Preventionist at Manor Grove, Compliance Director at McCallum Place Eating Disorder Centers, and Director of Nursing at both Bethesda Health Group and Hillside Manor, as well as Director of Quality Improvement & Education at the Psychiatric Stabilization Center. Kate's experience encompasses quality improvement, staff orientation, and patient safety initiatives.
