Leanne Downer

Leanne Downer is an experienced professional with a diverse background in consumer advocacy, project management, and coaching. Currently serving as a Consumer Adviser at Mercy since April 2024 and a Board Member at Surrey Hills Neighbourhood Centre, Leanne is actively involved in enhancing health literacy and supporting website redevelopment initiatives. For over four years, Leanne has been a Hockey Coach and Selector for Hockey Australia and Hockey Victoria, focusing on team culture and player development. Previously, Leanne held leadership roles including General Manager and Head of Sales at DiUS, Program Manager at Telstra, and General Manager for Object Consulting’s Northern Region, demonstrating a strong ability to drive business growth and manage complex projects. Leanne's educational background includes a Master's degree in Project Management from RMIT University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Pure Mathematics from Monash University.
