Mathew Smith

Mathew Smith, FACHE, FACMPE, currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Mercy since December 2021, after holding roles such as Vice President of Operations and Executive Director of Operations at the same institution. Previously, Mathew was Director of Physician Services II at HCA Healthcare and has extensive experience in perioperative services, managing over 150 healthcare providers, and leading cost-saving initiatives across various operations. Mathew’s earlier roles include Practice Manager for specialty clinics, Administrative Assistant at OU Medical Center, and Branch Manager at Ferguson Enterprises. Educational qualifications comprise a Master of Public Health from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Central Oklahoma.
