Software has greatly improved our lives, but at its core, it just manages the things we do better and easier. This rapid, relatively easy growth can distract investors from the big things that will reduce energy, reduce materials, improve health or save lives.

We want to partner with people who are interested in doing better things. This can be hard work. It can be complicated. It takes patience and learning, but that can be a source of competitive advantage that just might revolutionize our lives.

These problems are our opportunities.

Meridian 105 invests in companies that take hard dollars out of the value chain. Their challenges might include customer education, physical plant constraints, evolution of processes or the simple science and mathematics of the real world. We team up with management to drive sustainable growth plans for these businesses, creating natural barriers to entry and clear competitive advantage.
