Eric Granger has a diverse work experience in the IT field. Eric started their career in 2011 as a Shift Supervisor at DFW Computer, where they supervised the support desk and hardware team and standardized troubleshooting processes. In 2014, they worked as a Support Desk II at Capital One, providing technical support for employees and maintaining a high first call resolution rate.
From 2016 to 2018, Eric worked as an IT Contractor, providing on-site support for clients including individuals, small to medium-sized businesses, and non-profit organizations. During this time, they troubleshooted hardware and software issues, performed network troubleshooting, and handled virus/malware removal and data recovery/backups.
In 2016, Eric briefly worked at Fidelity Investments as a Support Desk II, diagnosing and resolving technical hardware and software issues. Eric also created online documentation to improve the knowledge base and help employees with day-to-day issues.
From 2018 to 2020, they served as a System Administrator at Revival Technology, LLC, where they were responsible for building, configuring, patching, upgrading, and troubleshooting Windows/ESXI servers, workstations, and domains for multiple client companies. Eric also played a role in server and network management, system security, department budgeting, and documentation.
Next, Eric worked as a Network Operations Center Technician at The 20 MSP from 2020 to 2021. Eric monitored servers and workstations using the Kaseya RMM solution to address network outages, power outages, maintenance, and performance-related issues.
Currently, Eric is employed at Meriplex as a System Engineer. Eric'sresponsibilities include providing onsite and remote support for clients, configuring and maintaining networks, providing endpoint updates, data backups, and break/fix support. Eric is also in charge of deploying and maintaining client infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, servers, endpoint protection, PBX systems, and security/access controls. Additionally, Eric replaces and upgrades defective or aging equipment.
Eric Granger pursued their education in Management Information Systems at The University of Texas at Arlington from 2017 to 2019. In addition to their degree, they obtained various certifications including Microsoft Azure AZ-900 and Microsoft Technology Associate: Security Fundamentals (MTA) from Microsoft in April 2021. Eric also earned certifications in CompTIA Network+ in August 2019 and CompTIA Security+ in February 2021 from CompTIA.
