Thomas Kuster

Tom Kuster is an experienced executive and educator in the energy and engineering sectors. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Merit Controls since January 2018, Kuster leads a company specializing in grid integration products and services for utility-scale applications. In addition to executive roles, Kuster has been an Adjunct Professor at Lehigh University since September 2022, teaching MBA students in the Venture Series. Kuster's prior experience includes CEO positions at Merit SI and Turner Renewable Energy, as well as a Senior Vice President role at First Solar. Kuster has a strong academic background with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration from Manhattan University, Lehigh University, and Stanford University.
