Evan Lock has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Evan is currently serving as the Vice President of Business Development and Legal Affairs at Merlyn Mind since January 2021. Previously, Evan was the Principal and Founder of Unlock, where they provided consultancy services to startups on various aspects including go-to-market strategy, raising investments, and developing pitch decks and business plans. At IBM, Evan held multiple positions including Health Ecosystem Leader and Business Development Executive for Watson Health, Global Leader for Strategy and Business Development for Watson Education, Business Development Executive for Technology and Intellectual Property, and Business Development Executive for Watson Commercialization. In these roles, they were responsible for developing strategies, fostering partnerships, and executing business deals in various domains such as healthcare, education, and technology. Evan Lock has an extensive education history. Evan obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania from 1977 to 1981. Evan further pursued their education at the same institution, earning a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics from 1979 to 1981. Additionally, they attended the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School from 1981 to 1983, where they received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management. Concurrently, they also obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania in the same time period.

In terms of additional certifications, Evan Lock also completed the "IBM Blockchain Essentials V2" certification program from IBM in April 2020.
