Suzanne Bal is a Senior Scientist at Merus N.V. since September 2019, where also holds the position of Chair of the Works Council. Prior to this, Suzanne served as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Erasmus MC from November 2018 to September 2019, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Cell Biology and Histology at the Academic Medical Center (AMC) from February 2014 to September 2019. Suzanne also worked as a Postdoc in the Departments of Experimental Immunology and Respiratory Medicine at AMC from November 2010 to February 2014. Education includes a PhD from Leiden University, obtained between September 2006 and September 2010, and a Master’s degree in Bio-pharmaceutical Sciences from Leiden University completed in 2006. Suzanne's research focuses on transcutaneous immunization with protein vaccines, specifically formulating antigens in particulate delivery systems and incorporating adjuvants to enhance vaccine efficacy.
