Michael Coleman has held various roles in the technology and finance industries since 1996. Michael began their career as a Relationship Manager at KeyBank, where they coached and supervised 4 employees and doubled the branch loan volume two consecutive years. In 1998, they joined IBM Tivoli Software as a Production Support/Software Engineer, where they were the team lead for GUI development and overall product design of Tivoli's commercial decision analysis tool from Visual Basic to Java. Michael also developed a Java/XML based IBM Document Editor (IDE) application and enhanced the IDE to convert from previous manual text input and XML markup to text importing and point and click document XML markup, reducing IBM Mail Analyzer configuration time in half. In 2000, Michael moved to re:Member Data Services as a Software Developer, where they designed and developed a GUI for an n-tier credit card processing web application for the financial services industry. From 2003-2018, they held various roles at Liberty Mutual, Knowledge Services, Byrider, and Blue Pillar. At Blue Pillar, they were a Product Architect, with primary responsibilities including design and development of applications transforming distributed energy resources into localized dispatchable micro grids. In 2019, Michael joined Mesh Systems as an IoT Software Architect and Knowledge Services as a Senior Software Engineer.
Michael Coleman attended Casey-Westfield High School from 1985 to 1989, where they earned a High School Diploma. Michael then attended Valparaiso University from 1989 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Science with a major in Business Administration Marketing and a minor in Information Systems.
