Stacy Bennett, M. Ed, has served as Principal of BJ Smith Elementary in the Mesquite Independent School District since July 2019, following a role as Assistant Principal at Tisinger Elementary. Prior experience includes serving as an Assistant Principal at Ferris Junior High School, where responsibilities involved coordination of special programs such as LPAC and 504/Dyslexia, and participation in district RTI planning. Earlier positions include Principal Intern and Science Teacher at Winfree Academy Charter Schools, and 8th Grade Science Teacher in the Irving Independent School District. Stacy Bennett holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from Abilene Christian University.
