James Young builds cultures of innovation by uniting diverse communities around exciting ideas. Jim’s unique experience combines four domains: expert facilitation, product strategy, learning communities, and story branding. Jim specializes in building and executing organization-wide strategies for transformative growth in higher education, startups, not for profits, and professional associations. Jim has started two successful businesses in the areas of learning strategy development, brand story, and product communities. Jim most recently served as Senior Vice President for Education and Chief Learning Officer at the American College of Chest Physicians. He served as chief learning officer at the Society of College and University Planning, chief of staff at Lehigh University, and founding chief information officer at Harrisburg University. He earned a Ph.D. at George Mason University, an MS at the University of Michigan, and a BS at Michigan State University.
